Vox Proventus LLC is committed to transparency about our use of artificial intelligence (AI) and automated systems in our communications. This disclosure explains how AI is used, what it can and cannot do, and your rights when interacting with our AI systems. This disclosure is provided in compliance with California Business and Professions Code §17940-17945, applicable Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines, and other applicable law.
// 01 — HOPE IS AN AI AGENT
When you call our phone lines or interact with the chat widget on our website, you may be communicating with "Hope" — an artificial intelligence voice and chat agent operated by Vox Proventus. Hope is not a human being. Hope is an automated system designed to respond conversationally, answer questions about our services, collect your contact information, and route your inquiry to our human team. Hope is designed to identify itself as an AI agent at the beginning of every interaction. If you are ever uncertain whether you are speaking with a human or an AI, you have the right to ask directly and receive an honest answer.
// 02 — CALIFORNIA BOT DISCLOSURE (B&P CODE §17940)
Under California Business and Professions Code §17941, a bot used for commercial communications must clearly disclose that it is not a human. Vox Proventus complies with this requirement. Our AI agent Hope: discloses its AI nature at the beginning of every phone call and chat interaction; will affirmatively confirm it is an AI if asked by the user at any point; does not use deceptive tactics to misrepresent its nature as human; and does not deny being an AI when sincerely asked. These requirements apply to all interactions — whether conducted via phone, website chat, or any other channel through which we deploy automated AI agents.
// 03 — WHAT AI DOES DURING YOUR INTERACTION
During an interaction with Hope, our AI system may: process and respond to your spoken or typed messages in real time; collect information you provide such as your name, business name, phone number, email address, and the nature of your inquiry; record, transcribe, and analyze the conversation to create a summary for our human team; use machine learning to understand the context and intent of your request; and route your information to a Vox Proventus team member for human follow-up. Our AI is not capable of executing financial transactions, entering legal agreements on your behalf, providing licensed professional advice (legal, medical, or financial), or making final business decisions. All commitments require confirmation from a human Vox Proventus team member.
// 04 — YOUR RIGHT TO SPEAK WITH A HUMAN
You always have the right to request a human response. If you prefer not to interact with our AI agent, you may: request a human callback at any point during a conversation with Hope; send an email directly to hello@voxproventus.com and a human team member will respond; or call during business hours (Monday–Friday, 8am–6pm Pacific) when our human team is available. We do not require you to interact with our AI systems if you prefer human contact.
// 05 — AI DEPLOYED FOR CLIENT BUSINESSES
Vox Proventus also deploys AI voice and chat agents on behalf of our business clients — including law firms, dental practices, real estate agencies, home services companies, hotels, and others. When we configure AI systems for a client business, we require that client to provide appropriate AI disclosure to their own customers, including disclosure that callers are interacting with an automated AI system. Our client contracts require compliance with California B&P Code §17940, TCPA, and all other applicable disclosure and consent requirements. // 06 — FTC COMPLIANCE
Vox Proventus complies with the Federal Trade Commission Act's prohibition on unfair or deceptive practices. We do not use AI to create false impressions about the nature of our communications. Our AI agents are trained to be helpful and conversational, but never to mislead users about their automated nature. We do not use AI-generated voices or text to impersonate specific real individuals or deceive users about the source of communications.
